The UWS is a fantastic university, the the Hamilton campus is smaller than many others which is amazing as you get more personal attention from lecturers, and always feel supported and not "lost" amongst loads of people. The atmosphere is friendly and warm and I felt comfortable even in my very first week where I made some lovely friends. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the university to anyone and am so glad I chose UWS.

The facilities at UWS are very reasonable, with a large library stocking a vast array of books, as well as decent IT department. There is a large cafeteria and smaller coffee shop selling Starbucks coffee, as well as a selection of hot and cold foods. There is also a small shop, and a few food and drinks machines, as well as an ATM.

Student support is fantastic at UWS and one of the university's strongest assets. Staff are wonderful and accommodating, the student support building is equipped with leaflets on most of the things students need, and the staff do whatever they can to help, I've always felt fully supported at UWS.

The union is small but does hold quite a lot of events and specials which is good. They serve a wide variety of drinks, and have a nice coffee shop.

Hamilton is a medium sized town with reasonable shops and supermarkets. Night life is average, with a nightclub, several pubs and several restaurants, some which are very good. Hamilton has 2 train stations, one within easy walking distance from UWS, providing easy access for students both local, and further afield. Glasgow is only around 30 minutes away by train.

UWS boasts several sports clubs which are easy to join and welcoming to new members. UWS has something for everyone if you're willing to seek and find, new clubs can even be started if you want something different!

The choice of courses is good, although if there isn't enough students for certain modules they don't run them, this is a great shame and very disappointing if in this situation. Lecturers are helpful, accommodating and always willing to do their best to offer support in any way possible.

I believe that job prospects are similar across the board, if you work hard and achieve good grades you stand yourself in good stead for the future.

There is reasonable accommodation, although not a vast amount. The rooms are clean and facilities as good as any other university.

Good. I enjoy studying at uws. Lectures are informative and relevant to real world work. Many career types are discussed and the work exp requirement of my course makes me more employable.

Good labs

Good. am involved with the student association in the decision making process as well as going to socialites and sports clubs

Not great mostly things happen in the university

Good choice of academic and hobby based societies. Sports clubs offer a good selection.

Relevent materiel covered and good lecturers

Good course for preparing for general practical work. societies based around different degree specific jobs. Integrated work experience as part of my course.
