Leicester is a great place to study in what's known as a multicultural city; you will feel at home no matter where you come from. Student services, including careers services and the welfare team, are always open for help and only an appointment away. There are many societies to look out for, and there is one for everybody, allowing you to meet like-minded people and make friends for life, easing nerves for prospective students. UOL is a research-based university ensuring teaching is kept up to date with current and emerging research allowing graduates to be well equipt for the world post-graduation. The hybrid teaching style adopted during the pandemic enables students to be flexible in their work allowing more time for personal growth and exploring opportunities. Overall, UoL is an excellent choice to embark on an educational journey; it could be even better with some improvements. With my experience starting during the pandemic, I would like to see more promotion of bursaries and scholarships for students, with many students being unaware of what is available for them. I would also like to see an improvement in the help given for applying for placements and part-time work, as it can sometimes be stressful to explore options whilst also studying for modules and completing assignments.

Medical Physiology BSc (Hons) is an excellent course for biology enthusiasts wanting to learn about the breadth of the human body and learning what happens when things go wrong. Teaching is kept up to date with assignments and lab work providing transferable skills for the workplace. It particularly encourages critical and analytical thinking, allowing to raise questions. Most lectures are in person now "post-Pandemic", with online Q&A sessions for assignment help. Talks keep regular contact via email and are more than happy to answer questions and address concerns. Some downsides include the fact that it is not yet accredited and needs further study or training for a job in a hospital or a lab. This degree is unsuitable for people who want a job after an undergraduate degree.

The library and food areas are nice. Opportunities are good like study abroad. Finding places to sit at lunch is a little hard.

Online exams are very good. Some in person lectures are hard to follow due to slides.
