enjoy uni it is brilliant. use stats and understand them. avoid all nighters. teach end note earlier, more help with coursework. the uni has great sporting facilities if you are into that kind of thing

The campus is on the smaller side which means everything is really easy to get to within a couple minutes walking. One of the best spots on campus is the lake and getting to watch the sunset there on a summer evening is always amazing. I have found the lecturers are always willing to help with anything you’re stuck on and are generally really supportive. The biggest downfall is the buses which can be extremely busy to get to campus in the mornings or leaving campus in the afternoon but everything else is great.

The best part of this course for me is the variation in modules. In first year we got to study things from evolution to cell biology and in second year we got to pick our modules which meant we could either stick to more similar modules or keep our options open by picking a variety of different themes. All my lecturers have been very helpful and all our lecturers are recorded and put online which makes revision or catching up a lot easier! I have found that sometimes our practicals can feel a bit long and not structured the best but this is a minor issue. Generally semester 1 feels a bit more challenging than semester 2 as there are no reading weeks or breaks so it’s about 11 weeks of lectures and practicals but semester 2 is a bit more chill with the Easter break helping to break things up.

Bath is an incredible city! It feels extremely safe and even when I’ve been waiting for the bus by myself in the middle of the night I’ve felt very comfortable. It’s beautiful and there’s always a new thing to explore or see! The biggest downfall for Bath is how expensive it is especially living in rented accommodation. But this is understandable considering how stunning this city really is.

Polden was a great accomodation and felt very clean and new. It’s located on the west side of campus which tends to be quieter than the accomodation on the east side. Sadly I ended up being put in a flat with 2 sets of guys who had requested to live together which meant 4 people in my flat already knew eachother and were then extremely loud and boisterous throughout the night. Other than my flatmates, I found living in polden perfect. The amenities were great, the bins got taken for us regularly and any issues I had, such as my toilet not flushing, got sorted really quickly!
