OVERALL UNIVERSITY RATING

Tell us about your overall university experience so far.

So far it has been great and only gets better as the years go by, i have only learnt more and more about KU. I have been a student here for 4 years now - I have made great achievements, got at least three jobs, got a Kingston Award too, made life long friends, and only enhanced my knowledge about life and my academic studies.

Job Prospects

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

Very well! There are always events taking place and student support available regarding helping with CV or personal statement or anything. There are such societies available too like 'HCO - Help create opportunities' society and many other things. Prepared us very well and always being sent emails too suggesting jobs.

Course and Lecturers

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

I love my course. Best part is that all the lecturers have different teaching styles and now more interactive lessons to help us learn more. They are always willing to help and available in office hours or via email. The course itself is great. I love the content. I am excited to do my summer project!

Students' Union

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

Student Union has improved a lot - even the location - very nice place now. The staff are very helpful and always encouraging to try things. Very nice.

Uni Facilities

How good are your university's facilities?

We have awesome facilities here at KU. We even have MAC labs now, and new postgraduate laboratories. For leisure there is also pool tables, fooseball, table tennis and certain societies provide specific facilities too. The library is also great. Full of computers, different levels of 'silence/noise' for each floor, group rooms, laptop access of uni desktops, etc.

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

Oh our location is the great. There are lots of shops and restaurants around from lidl to nandos, and primark to m&s, great leisure activities like cinema, bowling, arcade, table tennis, pool etc. There are also a few churches in this area (3 i think).

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

They are like being part of a family. And there is no place more comfy than where you have family :)

Student Support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

Great! Teachers are always very helpful and great to talk to. There is also the student support members available and facilities like mindfulness and massaging to help you get stressfree.
