Campus is lovely and full of nature which makes my mental health a lot better just by having the nature around, despite this there is still services around like shops and restaurants and it is only a short bus ride from Newcastle town centre and Hanley, although these buses can be unpredictable, they’re still often. Classes are easy to find as the maps help in each building. I live off campus, which in your first year can be difficult as I didn’t know anyone and I have autism so it can be hard to meet people. There is help in place for people with this same issue, such as the buddy scheme, I believe it’s called, where they pair you up with someone who is also struggling. From what I’ve heard, the accommodation isn’t the best but it is a good price and located close to everything on campus

All of my lecturers are lovely and take time to stay after the lectures in case anyone has questions that they don’t feel confident enough to ask in front of people. Some of their teaching methods don’t match my learning methods but this is an issue that’s bound to happen with anyone, all I do is go over the content before the lecture and try to put it into my own notes so that I can then expand on it during, which usually helps.

Keele university is extremely diverse, I’m not from an area with much diversity so it’s exciting to meet people from other backgrounds and learn about different cultures. The work experience opportunities would be good here due to stoke being so close and busy, especially stoke hospital for those in health.
