Unfortunately the lift in our accomodation has not been working for several days, and the hot water has been cutting out frequently for the past two days. The course overall is very good and the teaching style is engaging. Staff are very friendly and the activities available are catered towards a wide variety of people. Great university, would recommend to a friend!

Sadly we have had many hot water and heating issues this term. It's nice that we get warning for some things, but the warnings could be a little more specific about timings and days. The rooms are well furnished and spacious, and the bed is comfortable. Many people have WiFi issues, and it was especially bad at the beginning of the year which wasn't great because we needed to search up lots of things

Campus life is engaging and fun if you're active; lots of choices of sports and social clubs. 3sixty club in campus is also one of best student clubbing experience I've had in the UK. Library is chic and comfortable with sufficient study spaces and books / online resource. Course content is interesting and inspiring but coursework is indeed demanding (if you are a good and hardworking student). Tutoring hours is not quite enough and most of the time you are expected to guide yourself through module content and problem solving. Disabilities support is available and of easy access but they could be reluctant to provided further assistance to students suffering from severe conditions or sudden accidents, and this could impact your studies to a large degree. However, if you are a healthy student with normal social life, it is not that difficult to graduate with a 2:1 or 1st with a bit of hard work whilst enjoying uni life.

Most lecturers were experienced researchers who were very knowledgable but some might not be very good at tutoring students, so new students (e.g. freshers) might have difficulty catching up or navigating themselves through key concepts during self study hours. It would be appreciated if more contact hours with supervisors and academic tutors are available in order for students to ask questions or directed to external help.

It is so old that all facilities are old. The rooms are basic but acceptable. The toilets and showers are gross, especially showers as drainage is always stuck with hair and no one cleans it up. I can hardly take a nice shower throughout the terms. However, the location is nice as it is on campus near the lake with a lot of greens nearby and there is a bar right at the ground floor which is nice and convenient place to hang out with friends without having to worry about safety. It is only ten minutes walk away from a street where you can find some restaurants and corner shops or a top-up grocery shop, but in order to get to town centre, you must take the bus because it will be a 45 minute walk minimum.
