We’ve had a lot of things shut down recently. We used to have the extra store, post office and a sustainable shop on campus which have all been shut down. Please stop shutting things down because it starts to look depressing when walking around campus. There are so many good parts to the university, I feel safe at this university which is great as a woman. I like my course and we have great facilities for my course with the latest software and tech to really advance our skills before going to work. I really like the eateries on campus too, there’s lots of different food to choose from with different vibes such as a bar and a pub, a diner, restaurant and cafes! Which sounds similar but I like the difference in the vibes and the difference can mean a lot whether I want to dance, chat, look nice, just go in my PJs etc. Yeah I think that’s really cool. Especially with them being on campus, student life can get so busy and when you just come out of class and you have 20 minutes free you can grab a drink and chat with your friends. That’s nice it doesn’t have to be a huge event or plan just to see them. You can just go to the next square!

We have some of the most hours a week compared to other courses which is a blessing and a curse. Sometimes you think wow it’s so much and everyone else gets this amount of time off and I don’t. But spending that much time in a classroom is needed with modern languages, you need the practise or you won’t learn the skills or the content. Me and my lecturers are like best friends I wouldn’t change her for the world! All my classes are in person which again is a blessing and a curse. It definitely makes sure I get out of the house and see sunlight. But again sometimes everything is too much and you feel rushed to get here there and everywhere. But overall I prefer in class than online. The quality of the lessons are better but it can be a bit more nerve racking.

I love how close I am to campus. I love the style of the building and I wouldn’t pick anywhere else to stay in. I feel safe and I like that I know how to use everything and where everything is. The 2 minute walk to campus can not be bragged about enough. However, I do think it’s expensive but I understand I’m paying for being on campus so that I think is fair. I wish they took more care of the building. When I first arrived we had a hole in our kitchen wall above the cooker and our kettle looked like it was going to fall apart everytime we use it. I wish little things like this were tested before we move in because it doesn’t feel like a comfortable start to the year.

The sub zero club is good because there are different events to cater for everyone. I also like the range of food places available on campus.

The lecturers are all nice and friendly. I would like it if there was an option to join the class online and not just in person.

I don’t like the bridge near quays because it adds another 10 minutes onto the journey time. The actual accommodation is nice enough though.
