I think that the food and drink is far too expensive.

There have been times when we haven't been told about an upcoming assignment. When it comes to essays I am aware that other PGCE subjects have been given more help on this, this is also true with regards to WDS's that we have had to fill in on a weekly basis. I only know that we have had less support by speaking to other PGCE subject students.

In many ways, Edge Hill has bagged itself a five-star rating for the three years I've studied here. The tutors are engaging and supportive, and the campus is stunning. It's gratifying to watch our tuition fees being invested year-on-year in facilities that actively improve the university's profile and the student experience. Since I enrolled, the campus has expanded to about half its size again to make room for a massive building to house all the new industry-standard creative media equipment and some of the best sporting facilities in Lancashire. Not to mention several new Halls of Residence and (another) lake! I study English and find that the course is interesting and varied. Tutors will always find time for a one-to-one if I need help and a massive number of resources are available both in the library and online. It's important to realise that if you're after the full-on city centre student experience of getting in from the club at 7AM and then ordering some pizza, Ormskirk isn't the one. However, it's bursting with life for a town of its size. A big proportion of the population are students and it really shows when you take a walk down the street. Additionally, the difference between living in Ormskirk and Liverpool is that there's no part of town you wouldn't feel safe walking through at night, which is why Edge Hill is the fourth safest uni in the country. And most importantly, there's the student-famous Horseshoe. I've searched long and hard for any pub anywhere in the UK that's cheaper - haven't found one yet. All things considered, Edge Hill has got quite a lot to shout about. The uni's rocketing upwards through the league tables and doesn't look set to slow down, and I'd whole-heartedly recommend it to anybody considering applying.
