Tell us about your overall university experience so far.

It has been a fantastic four years that have pushed me to my academic limits. I have felt positively challenged and they have supported my studies tremendously. I feel ready to start my postgraduate study because of the support i have received.

Job Prospects

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

Its very good. Careeers and employability are always there to help and give constructive and helpful advice. Chester also offers a placement in 2nd year which is really good to see if you definitely want to follow a certain career path.

Course and Lecturers

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

The lecturers enthusiasm and the options of study.

Students' Union

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

Lots of societies on offer and they are helpful if we need any advice.

Accommodation

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?

Little bit far from campus. Other than that its fine!

Uni Facilities

How good are your university's facilities?

They are pretty good. The library has just been renovated but MFL does lack some resources. Like dual language dictionaries to borrow from the library.

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

Chester is amazing and beautiful! I love living here. It has so much to do. Its near Liverpool, Manchester and wales and there are constant trains down to London.

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

They are plentiful. Loads to choose from. We even have quidditch!

Student Support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

I have never really needed the support of student services because the mfl dept is so brilliant. We are always looked after and we have a relationship with our tutors. They help us with our work to any pastoral issues.
