UoG is the most supportive educational setting I've ever been in, all staff, from lecturers, admissions, outreach, etc. go out of their way to support us and we have really good relationships. Being known as an individual is invaluable and I know where I can go for support on anything. I like being on a smaller campus because everyday I bump into people I know and see staff to chat about my work. Definitely a 'community'! Some of the facilities are not the most up to date/ extensive but there is a gradual revamp going on - I have seen the latest development in the Architecture studios and they are stunning! UoG is also top-notch on disability support, and also mental health support as well as establishing zero-tolerance on intimidating freshers events such as initiations. So glad I came here rather than going elsewhere, even though it is not the type of uni I thought I would go to when I was younger.

Would love to have a built-in placement, however, lecturers supported me through a design competition which allowed me to gain a good placement and one module is geared towards developing our CVs and professional skills in order to do this. Good facilities, not the most modern but that's not necessary really. Excellent lecturers and engagement, and I like the class size as we discuss openly. Would love to be more involved with cross-course projects with the architecture and ecology students, etc. Have been fully in person since it was allowed which tops other unis.

Beautiful town, lots of opportunities, not very multi-cultural but you can't exactly engineer that. I love the setting as it's so pretty, and the festivals means there's often interesting things going on.

Very modern and safe, with security on call at any time, including for noise management! Was like living in a hotel! On the edge of town so a bit of a walk to uni, but through the beautiful park so I actually enjoyed that. Never had an issue with wifi. Maintenance was always prompt.
