I’m a part-time masters student, which means I travel in from quite a distance. However, the uni has been very accommodating of this. The uni facilities are good but some of the classrooms have a poor design with columns which block the lecturer at times. The teaching has been good. The workshop facilities are excellent and I wish I had more time to use them. I’m impressed by the food discount that has been applied recently to assist with the cost of living crisis. This is hugely appreciated! There could be more places to sit and eat lunch.

The course is 100% in person which is a bit challenging when I travel in from far away. However, it’s always ok if I miss a session as I can catch up separately with the tutor. I’d like to see tutors have a better grip on Moodle/Teams as it’s been a bit chaotic at times. The part time course is well considered and planned so I can work my job alongside it. The conversion year was very challenging and very content heavy and I struggled to cope at times. But I do now feel well set up to complete the masters.

Lots to do here at the BCU and that's why I am recommending the university. Lots to do on and off campus everything you could ask for is in Birmingham. Not sure on what unique advice I can recommend just use your head
