The location is brilliant, and the ongoing renovation of older buildings makes the uni a lot nicer to be at.

The course content is great, however some of the lectures have felt slightly unnecessary/ irrelevant in terms of the content.

The location is ideal- just over the road from uni. The accommodation gets quite loud and busy on weekends in particular and wifi lags a bit.

The location itself is amazing, you are never too far to walk to the sea and when you do, you are reminded of how lucky you are to be able to study here. The university itself has some good and some bad lecturers, as you will find with any university because people have different styles of teaching and learning so what is bad for some will not be bad for others. The online services here are fantastic and if you are confused you can speak to someone in the careers hub or student hub in the library if it's during term time. The student union host many events which make it easy to connect and experience nightlife, or just to find likeminded people if that's not your scene and you prefer sober activities such as board game afternoons, dancing or sports. There are so many societies to choose from and I have made some lasting friendships with people through the activities that the societies here undertake.

Some lecturers are not amazing, in that they are just bad at teaching, or are slightly rude to certain students. It will depend, lecturer to lecturer about your experiences in theory and practical work. I thoroughly enjoy my course content but have heard rumours about people getting rid of some of it, which makes no sense to me as the content they intend to do away with is practically just a summary of exactly what my course is about. I don't think we get enough time to talk to our tutors (in duration of meeting them, not regularity of meeting them) and sometimes these meetings feel unproductive, though that is likely biased on my personal need which is not high.
