the student union is one of the best places about the university of sheffield, with various places to study, support services and even a student shop! the university campus is also great, with multiple libraries you can study at and accessible facilities.

due to being in in-person classes, the lectures feel much more personal and it is easier to understand the content. teachers are also very welcoming whenever you need to see them in their office hours!

the endcliffe student village is a great choice for accommodation and it feels like a close knit community. even though appliances do break from time to time which is expected, maintenance usually answer any queries you have and there is always the customer services desk if you need any further help.

My experience so far has been as good as it can given the circumstances. I’d like to have been able to spend time with my classmates and be living in halls rather than at home, but obviously these aren’t circumstances the university can control. The university is clearly doing it’s best to offer students the best it can.

It’s hard to say as I haven’t been able to use many facilities due to covid, but from what I have seen as well as what others have said, I believe Sheffield has excellent facilities.

It’s easy to access emotional support from the university website/the vle. I had a rough time late last year and I was offered a lot of support to get me through it.

Despite having to be online, the lessons are well prepared and the lecturers are easy to contact and talk to when support is needed.
