The course is great and the lecturers are friendly and very helpful when I have questions and queries. The campus is good and I love the library. The sports centre and gym are also amazing. I wish there was more social spaces such as a common room after the campus buildings close in the evening. However, there are so many sports clubs and societies to chose from to keep you busy.

The course is taught entirely face to face. For Japanese we have lectures and seminars. For Chinese we only have lectures but the lectures are split into different skills. E.g reading/writing and speaking/listening. When you have an issue outside of class, you can contact the lecturers via email and often get a quick reply.

It was really close to the library and laundry building. It was about a 15/20 minute walk from Derwent to Aldi. It was very safe and I felt comfortable walking to and from the library at night. The internet was only slow a few times out of the whole year. When we had an issue in the flat with something not working, the accommodation office was very easy to contact via the flat landline and they responded quickly to fix the issue.

The classes and teachers are great and the work is fine but I had lots of problems in my flat and it was difficult to get the problem resolved

The lectures are fine but I think it's strange we have timetabled tutorial for Japanese and not for Korean because it makes the timetabled hours unequal

It's pretty expensive for what it is considering you can find private accommodation with the exact same style room for much cheaper, hence why I'm moving somewhere else for my second year. I had issues with someone in my flat as well and they office were no help in resolving the problem
