I’ve really enjoyed studying at UWE. The Frenchay campus feels modern and well-equipped, with plenty of study spaces, decent labs, and a library that actually helps. Careers support and placement links are strong, and most lecturers are approachable and practical. Bristol itself is a huge plus creative, green, and easy to get around. Room for improvement: timetabling can be messy, and communication about changes sometimes arrives late. Accommodation and food costs bite, and some courses could tighten assessment feedback times. More quiet study areas during peak weeks would help. Overall, a supportive, career-focused uni in a brilliant city—solid four stars.

Overall, I’ve had a really positive experience here. The academic support is solid, and the facilities (especially the library/labs) are top-notch. The lecturers are generally very passionate and approachable. The Best: The sense of community and the variety of societies available through the Students' Union. There’s always something happening on campus. To Improve: The communication between departments can be a bit slow sometimes, and I’d love to see more affordable healthy food options in the cafeteria.

One of the best parts of the course is the balance between technical programming and business development. Getting to work on practical projects, like creating business plans for startups, makes the theory feel much more relevant. The labs for the cyber security modules are also a highlight. On the downside, the workload can be quite intense, especially when balancing complex coding assignments with business presentations. I’d also appreciate a bit more consistent one-on-one contact time with lecturers for the more advanced technical modules to help clear up complex topics faster.
