A community of some of the most interesting and intelligent people I know! The student body is small and eclectic, the international faculty is refreshingly passionate about teaching, and the professional network reaches to every domain I'm aware of to date. I had an incredible experience being a student here and it's set up me for an exciting, varied career.
I started as part of the founding cohort in 2022. 65 students, 11 faculty members in a cool building in East London. We were the course guinea pigs which meant we got all of the benefits of 1:1 time with incredible professors who have studied, researched and taught at the top universities, but we also experienced niggles with brand new modules and the learning resources like the lack of a library or quiet space to work.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my degree. It enabled me to explore my existing interests and cultivated many more such as impact investing and surveillance capitalism which I'm confident no other degree could have done for me. This degree, like most others is exactly what you make of it and how much effort you put in. But I would say here, if you chose to do that you'll be 10x rewarded.
The LIS network is incredible. They have connections across national government, NGOs, top consulting, banking and real estate firms, investors, entrepreneurs and as part of a small student cohort and graduate, you have unique access and support.
