One of the best aspects of studying at Wrexham University is the supportive learning environment. Academic staff are approachable, encouraging, and always willing to give guidance, whether it’s about assignments, understanding complex topics, or planning for future career goals. The university creates a friendly atmosphere where students feel valued and confident to ask for help.
I also appreciate the diverse student community. Meeting people from different cultural and professional backgrounds has broadened my perspectives and helped me develop stronger teamwork and communication skills. The university’s flexible teaching methods and practical learning activities make the course engaging and closely connected to real-world situations.
Additionally, the student services, including library support, career guidance, and wellbeing resources, are very helpful. They make it easier to balance studies, personal life, and future career planning.

Areas for Improvement
Although my experience has been positive overall, there are a few areas that could be improved. At times, communication about timetable changes or online session links could be clearer and more consistent, especially for part-time and international students who rely heavily on emails and the student portal.
Some facilities, such as study spaces and digital resources, could also be expanded to accommodate busy periods during assignment deadlines. Improving these would make learning even smoother for students.

Overall
Wrexham University offers a welcoming, supportive, and practical learning experience. With a few improvements in communication and facilities, it could become even better for future students.

One of the best aspects of the IHRM course is the quality of teaching and support from lecturers. They are knowledgeable, approachable, and always willing to explain topics in depth when needed. Their real-world HR experience helps connect theory with practical workplace examples, which makes the learning more meaningful.
The flexibility of blended/online learning is another strong point. It allows me to manage my studies alongside personal responsibilities. The course structure, including recorded lectures, online resources, and discussion forums, makes it easier to study at my own pace while still feeling supported.
I also appreciate the diverse range of modules—from global HR strategies to leadership, people management, and international labour markets. They help me understand HRM across different countries and cultures, which is very useful for future career opportunities.
Worst Aspects / Areas for Improvement
Although the course is strong overall, there are a few areas that could be improved. Sometimes communication about online session links, timetable updates, or assessment instructions could be more consistent and clearer. This would help reduce confusion, especially for students who rely on emails and Moodle.
Another area for improvement is increasing interactive activities. More live workshops, case studies, or group discussions would make the course even more engaging and allow students to apply HR concepts in real-time situations.
Finally, the workload during some modules can feel heavy when deadlines fall close together. Slightly better scheduling or spreading out assessments would make it easier to manage.
Overall
The IHRM course offers valuable content, supportive lecturers, and flexible learning options. With improved communication and more interactive learning opportunities, the course could become even stronger and more engaging for all students.

University halls
What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
One of the things I like most about the university halls is the value for money. The accommodation is generally affordable compared to many other universities, and the rent includes essential utilities, which makes budgeting much easier for students.
I also appreciate the location and convenience. The halls are close to campus and key facilities, meaning it’s easy to get to classes, the library, and student support services. The environment feels safe, and the staff are friendly and helpful when any issues need resolving.
Additionally, the halls create a sense of community. Living alongside other students helps build friendships and makes the university experience more enjoyable, especially for those who are new to the area.
What I Like Least About the University Halls
Although the halls are generally comfortable, some areas could be improved. At times, maintenance requests can take a little longer to be completed, especially during busy periods. Faster repairs would make the experience smoother.
Some facilities, such as kitchen space, laundry rooms, or shared common areas, could be modernised or expanded, as they can become crowded during peak times. Noise levels can also be an occasional issue depending on the block or time of year.
Overall
In my views the university halls offer good value, convenience, and a supportive living environment, but improvements to facilities and maintenance response times would make the experience even better.
