We need a real SU

The University of York campus is beautiful, with lots of wildlife. The college experience is excellent and makes you feel like part of a proper university community. There is also lots of places to get free food on campus. The campus bars are also great.

In third year the contact time is very poor, with me currently only having 3 hours per week. Some of the lecturers are great but sometimes a lazy teaching style is taken on, especially in seminars. However, I did get a free field trip to Tenerife which was amazing. The course content is interesting, but as someone who is very interested in the human side of geography the module choices available can be very environment/physical geography based. Especially in third year.

The halls are very sociable and my kitchen was big and regularly cleaned. Our shared bathroom was cleaned almost every day which was very good. The building is old but the heating system is good so it doesn't get too cold. The food in catered accommodation was really good, especially the breakfast. I liked how there was lots of people on each floor of the building (14 per flood), and all the floors were accessible to everyone in the building. This made it easy to make friends.
