Very good, USW is a great uni to be apart of. The lecturers are so hard working and try to make each lesson as enjoyable as they possibly can. I'm not a fan of trefforest as a place to live, but the campus there is brilliant.

Speaking for my own campus, the university has excellent facilities.

Speaking about individual lecturers, if you had a personal or academic issue they would help you as best as they can.

I don't get involved in the student union. No reason why, just not many job opportunities in the student union, which would be my main reason for getting involved. We've recently had lots of sexual attacks in Cardiff, especially in the cathays area which is where I live. The student union for all campus' of the university of South Wales have provided personal safety alarms for free which students can pick up if they want to. I think this is a great thing for the university to do.

The city life in Cardiff is good, which is why I chose to live here and commute to trefforest!

I don't get involved. I was interested in joining a sports team for a bit of fun, but I was put off by the 'try outs' part of it. If it was casual and a bit of exercise and fun I would definitely join up!

The history lecturers are some of the most interesting people I've ever met, and are very dedicated to their jobs. They (Well, most of them do!) try to make every lesson as interesting as possible, which is always helpful when you have a 9am lecture!

Im a second year, and haven't received much guidance on preparing for a job. However I'm sure that my course will help me prepare for a job during my second and third year.

I'm a second year student and I rent privately with my partner. I didn't go to halls in the first year as I just never appealed to me. I love living in Cardiff but renting is definitely pricey (as you can imagine). My university campus is in trefforest which means I have to commute. This is a pain but Cardiff has more job opportunities and isn't too difficult to commute.

One thing i would look to improve are the extracurricular society’s and clubs, the only ones i can find that are still active are the ones meant for international students, which is good that they are running, however the history society i know hasn’t had any activity that i can see besides an old facebook thread from the pre pandemic era

tutors are always reachable, facilities are great, one minor thing is that all of the lecture halls i have been in have a lack of plugs available for students, i know the problem could be remedied by being a little more organised and making sure your laptop is charged before a lecture, however it would be nice

one thing that would be nice to have is better wifi, however i understand the limitations of wifi signals when it comes to the location and sheer amount of people using it
