There are so many support systems that are really useful and even if they can’t help you, they show you where you can get help. Even the staff are clearly passionate about what they do and are always happy to help you where they can. It’s a uni that emphasises the importance of work placement, work and life balance and dedication to what you’re here to do while also having a ton of societies and good night life

We are flexible and have been given the ability that while attendance is very important, it isn’t the defining factor The seminars are interactive and as I am changing course from comp sci to history I have been supported every step of the way

Lots of social events, good quality facilities, good social areas and plenty of washers

The campus is a mixture of old and new venues which adds to its charm. The opening of the new sports complex gives added value. The library is extensive and the library and IT support staff are very helpful and patient! The catering facilities are good but if you want something different than there are plenty of choice nearby.

E.ven during pandemic sessions the Lecturers were on hand via video phone or email. Tutors reply promptly. Sometimes the location of lectures or seminars change but so long as notice is given it's ok. For instance the recent fire at the Library did not cause any inconvenience as a separate entrance was established and communicated quickly to us. As a disabled student accessibility is a priority and facilities and venues are sympathetically provided including toilet and if necessary showering venues The only grudge I have is that there is no bar on campus and other than the organised sport ans social clubs there aren't many events other than Freshers week organised by the Union. Even the choice of available labelled clothing has reduced which is disappointing. If you enjoy being social then Portsmouth provides plenty of choice and Gunwharf Keys provides a unique shopping experience. Choose Portsmouth!

Good food venues,pubs and clubs. In a tourist town and naval base there are many ways to enjoy your spare time. There is a choice of sports available including sailing and kayaking. The Isle of Wight is only a short hovercraft journey and there are three railway stations with regular trains to London,Salisbury and Southampton. County Cricket is a short rail and bus journey. There is also a skating rink across the water in Ryde. The main shopping Centres match most City's of its size.
