I have recently begun my studies at the university of Aberdeen and overall I am really enjoying my time here. Aberdeen is a great place to study mainly due to the high quality of teaching that is provided and the commitment of staff. I feel consistently supported by my lecturers as well as my personal tutor. The campus itself is beautiful which has been a source of motivation to me as I feel so lucky to be studying in such a wonderful environment. There is a wide range of spaces such as the student union building and the library which are both very well maintained and of a high quality, these spaces ensure that everyone has somewhere to go in their free time on campus. The only possible improvement I can think of is to ensure that all lecture slides and materials are made available in advance, most courses are already great at this but sometimes resources are not available

I am an in person student and from my experience all teaching so far has been highly engaging and easy to follow along with. My in person contact hours work well for me but it has been highly emphasised that if there are any issues outwith teaching time then we are more than welcome to contact our course coordinater or lecturers, this has been a great source of help to me as it makes me feel more comfortable and assured. One of my courses has an informal private study session once a week, this is an opportunity to go along and ask the lecturer about any questions or concerns you have that may not have been covered in the weeks lectures. I think this is a really useful session and should be more widely applied throughout different courses.

Great student support- i enjoy the old feel of the campus. Fund more humanities subjects- make more use of the old aspect- less modern=good

I think within history there could have been more hands on- museums/artefacts/trips.

The city itself is probably the thing that brings down aberdeen university's reputation the most. Theres not a lot to do there, very limited job offers and it can be unsafe, especially for women. For graduate jobs everyone i know leaves the city to find them. Transport is cheap for students but not alot of variety.

safety was a bit of a concern- just with how close everyone was together- and doors felt very easily accessible. I think the pay for the halls was slightly too high, as it was small and very used.
