The university offers a wide range of options for modules on my course, and I enjoy having the freedom to choose the various aspects I am interested in. It could be improved by offering more internships or work experience for humanities students.

My course is well structured, and offers a wide range of choices. Some units are well organised while others are less so. I spent 2 years doing online learning throughout the pandemic and really did not enjoy it, but now that my studies are back on campus, the quality of learning has improved. I think there is a good balance of contact hours and at home learning.

Manchester is a wonderful city, and provides students with opportunities in any field they could want. I have felt almost entirely safe, although there are some areas, such as Moss Side, that I tend to avoid. The university itself is in a perfect location, as it is close to the center of town and has lots of transport links.

My halls were one of the cheapest options, however they were of excellent standard. The rooms were the perfect size and the flats had all the amenities you could want as a first year student. It was also directly opposite the student union, which meant I did not have to travel far to attend lectures.

Generally I have very high opinion of my University. The majority of my tutors are extremely passionate about their chosen topic, which comes through during the lectures and seminars. Information and teaching style is purposely varied to provide the student with the best possible learning experience. I also feel that the facilities and equipment is well maintained and appropriate. On the flip side, some tutors aren't particularly engaging and struggle to generate interest. The odd tutor has also been absent from lectures and seminars, which disrupts learning. I am also unhappy with the extra curricular offering as there are less guest lectures and clubs than I anticipated and the new Union is not particularly inviting

Have managed to obtain everything which have required. Always plenty of computers. Always well maintained.

Have not yet met my personal tutor and have not had a review of my experience.

Not inviting environment. Does not promote relaxation for 'stressed' students. Little by way of seating.

Manchester is a wonderful city for students with numerous cheap bars and restaurants. Easy to find entertainment options to fit with student budget. Excellent communication links.

Very few clubs and societies outside of the sports clubs which are tailored towards the competitive.
