There is numerous ways to get support in all aspects of your uni life, from emotional support to accommodation and uni work. I think there is a great support system in place for students and I feel like if i was ever struggling with uni work etc i could easily get help from either drop in hours with lecturers, my personal tutor or online discussion boards with the students and lecturers. An area to be improved are the lectures themself for my personal course. I feel like a lot of the lectures just involve the lecturers reading off the slides and they are nit very engaging.

There are very limited contact hours for my course. For the majority of the time, I only have lectures/tutorials/seminars/contact time on mondays and tuesdays, or about 10ish hours a week. A lot of the course is just reading work but i feel like it would be a lot more useful if we had more contact hours for lecturers to go into more depth about the topics to give us better understanding, rather than just touching the surface with the content and expecting us to go off and do the rest of the learning ourselves. Considering how much the course costs each year, i would expect a bit more from the lecturers in terms of us being taught content and how it is taught, rather than paying so much for 75% of our course to be independent study.

I like that the halls are modern and i have nice views from my room. My room feels like an actual bedroom as opposed to some halls which rooms look like prison cells. My ensuite is also really nice and i like the fact that has a proper shower as opposed to a wetroom. some of the downsides i would say is the wifi which i find to be quite slow and does go down a fair bit. Additionally, the rooms and flats get really hot when the temperature outside is nice and it is very hard to cool them down as the windows barely open at all. The induction hobs are a bit annoying to use as well as the oven as most of the dials and temperatures and functions are too faded to read so it is hard to tell what temp i am putting food on at.

- Convenient locations and distances of university buildings - can easily take a break from studying and go somewhere to relax your mind. Such as the beach (lovely sunsets) - some lecture materials are difficult to understand so could be improved sometimes - quick response times from lecturers who are happy to help

- manageable hours - detailed course - quick response times - online/in person - mainly in person which is good

- events where lighting has gone out for a periods of time and other maintenance issues - silver fish - overall, quick maintenance response - always accessible water - study space - lots of washing machines and dryers available - reasonably priced, but for issues I experienced it was frustrating - lots of social events to involve those living in the building which is good
