Leeds is a great place to study because of its large campus and close location to town. Theres are so many extra things- jobs, volunteer opportunities, internships that occur but its very difficult to find out about these opportunities. Maximising online portals would hugely increase student engagement with this. Student support really lacks. This seems to be a common theme at a lot of universities. Waiting lists for therapy are too long and availability of services to aid psychological well being are known or underdeveloped.

Obviously during COVID it was difficult. But for my course the contact time in first and second year is too short. More seminars could be conducted to increase student engagement and maximised course friend relationships. Internships and job prospects are advertised well enough. Some lecturers are great others seem disinterested and apathetic towards student success.

No

The best experiences at university have been the many available libraries and booths for both silent and non-silent work. There are also many cafes and shops near to campus. The student life and where to go for drinks or eating is great. The worst aspects are the assessment, marking and feedback. Feedback can be vague and is generally not helpful. Marking can be very subjective on the markers opinions and what they personally like or dislike in an essay.

The course is innovative and has lots of opportunities for learning. It has great facilities in place to support employment and graduate prospects. Many of the course is online which hinders the university experience.

Very subjective experience depending on who you stay with. My personal experience was with some people that did not clean so I did not enjoy my time. My room was nice and it was relatively close to campus
