It is right next to the hospital We get so much early clinical contact and preparation for being on the wards so early on. Our year group is too big and I don't think our University receives enough funding to accommodate for everyone

The lecturers sometime don't explain things well But they provide resources and q&a sessions to clear any doubts It's very much self directed study

City centre has loads of things to do Public transport inst reliable but is free till you turn 22 There's a nice beach If you get bored you can go to the highlands or Scottish cities for just a pound:)

Wavell is one of the cheapest accommodation but I still love it!!!! It can get loud sometimes in the corridor but the walls are thick and the heating/insulation is amazing You meet amazing people in the corridor and I've meet people who I wish to keep in touch with for the rest of my life. Complaints are dealt with quickly my light broke one night and by the time I came back from uni the next day it was completely fixed.

Most facilities are very good and student support well-developed. Unfortunately, our medical campus is far from the main campus. That not only limits our social opportunities, but also makes us miss out on many events etc.

Most of the course is in person, we also have two years of clinical placements. As for lectures, this highly depends on the lecturer. Some are absolutely amazing and passionate while others not so much. Tutorials in years 1-3 are usually very useful. In years 4 and 5 we have simulation sessions which are my favourite way to put all the theory into practice in a safe environment. Placement quality again highly depends on where you are and who you are working with, but usually there's no major problems and the university reacts quickly if any issues arise.

The halls were very expensive for how old they were and how many people we had to share the flat with, making it a good option mostly just for first years who do not know their classmates yet. Laundry was outside and shared, could make it uncomfortable sometimes. We did not have a lot of space in the fridges. My room was luckily quite big and warm as I was right next to the boiler, but not everyone was that lucky. We had a shop very close which was handy and a lot of activities were happening in the main building 2 minutes away from my hall. The atmosphere was also really good with students all around the world and I think it is still a very good option for those who just moved to the city.
