The university immerses you into your academia as well as your new city home through the supportive and ambitious lecturers and the student union’s newsletter that introduces you to new activities and venues in the local area both within and outside of the university. NTU is a welcoming place where I have been able to grow independent but maintain approachability of my superiors when it is needed. My workload is manageable, allowing me to feel a sense of achievement while also enriching other aspects of my life such as health and social. I have made a diverse group of friends for life on top of the familial feel of the university maintained by its lecturers who are friendly and always striving for your success. However, some are more helpful than others and while the majority are tailoring the course to student needs and approachability, some neglect the need to create this ease of use for module content apprehension and assignment completion.

We experience an array of learning formats and a week which contains a lot of lecturer and tutor contact as well as self study time which we have been prepared for through learning technique seminars at university. This provides us with the skills needed to best support our own independent learning while also feeling able to email for help at any time

The staff were incredibly friendly at my accommodation and mostly willing to help. Although some night staff (not associated with the University) were rude, unprofessional and honestly inhuman including swearing at students who had done nothing wrong and calling them names. I think this individual has been disciplined for his actions. However, the location is incredible with easy access to anything in Nottingham and although at first the flat felt cramped, characterless and scary, with time and making friends with my flatmates it became cosy and homey. Most of the NTU halls are relatively expensive and a review of costs may be useful, however they did the best they could and I greatly enjoyed my time there regardless.

The best aspect of my uni would be the support and comfort it provides to its students.

It provides a perfect blend of theory, practical knowledge and real life situations giving us a wider view of the content.
