- Best: high quality of teaching, lecturers offer support and encourage questions, comprehensive presentation of the subject from theories to research methods to understanding of the actual work of psychologists - Worst: due to Psychology modules being taught by Psychology lecturers (BPS) and Counselling being taught by the Counselling faculty (BPS, BACP, BABCP) it sometimes feels like we don't have an adequate picture of how counseling psychology is unique in its perspective

Newman have a small supportive community who focus on employability after graduation their student union is nothing but helpful. its location its self is amazing by being in birmingham you get all the perks of the second city but without the hustle and bustle of being in the city centre. They are so inclusive and the student union represent this so well. and their student support services are amazing for a university on what they offer.

My is majority mature students and lectures are planned at times that are friendly to those with children and other work commitments
