King's College is a great place to study for it's variety of courses. I am currently undertaking the MNurs qualification so I can register as both an RN & RMN. I will qualify with both registrations in two years time. The lecturers are supportive, kind and very experienced. The sports facilities are brilliant as I play rugby. The only thing I would suggest to be improved is the new e-portfolio software that many students in the MSc/MNurs cohorts. Despite an overwhelming amount of complaints from the students, the nursing faculty were adamant to keep students using it. It has been an unnecessarily stressful first few months for the students. Even as I am now on my second placement, it is still fresh software. I would have suggested either students being offered the software as an option, or to have given the software more time before launching and having students work through the changes and uncertainty around the bugs and further development of the software. Many nurses who I have worked with had never heard of the software, so getting them to fill out a form as opposed to signing a book wasn't time efficient at all. Training the nurses at the trusts that are linked with KCL well in advance on the software would've been extremely helpful. No nurse I have met so far knows about the software. The software itself is a brilliant idea in theory, but the reality of it was that it added more stress and worry that was needed for a KCL student. Particularly the MNurs cohort, as it is our first year studying, we are already in an environment of 'trialling'. The added software has only caused more stress.

The course itself is fantastic. The idea of being able to deliver two nursing registrations over two years is a brilliant idea for the integrated care systems model. We are a small cohort, so our lecturer and tutor contact time has been great. As it's our first year, we are yet to have an extended conversation about career prospects, as we're the first to receive two registrations at once. Subject facilities have been excellent, particularly the clinical simulations. We have a good balance of online and in-class learning also.

Of course the experience isn't comparable to that without an ongoing global pandemic, but the support, teaching and experiences that I have gained this year have still been worthwhile. I'm looking forward to a more normal year next year and engaging with classes more.

Faculty buildings and facilities are great, accommodation buildings do have some issues though the residences team are very helpful in dealing with those

Personal tutors and student services are great

This was initially blended learning but has been online this semester, the teachers have done their best under the circumstances though it isn't quite the same as the 'real' thing.
