The experience has allowed me to progress as a designer and also improve my personal life through the experiences I've had outside of university, although the latter is a result of the people I've met and a term living and studying in Rotterdam.

The facilities are all great and the people running them are all helpful.

There is a lot of support available for both our work and personal lives and tutors are willing to give us feedback if we ask.

I haven't had much to do with the student union but it seems decent and the people are all friendly.

The university's location is great, just at the edge of town so we don't have to walk through on our way to uni but it is still within walking distance of everything.

There isn't that many societys and sports being a small uni but the ones that do exist seem good.

The course is taught in a way that allows us to follow our own path in regards to the discipline and the tutors are helpful, however, there could've be more guidance during the first term of first year.

There are a lot of employability and transferable skills related events so quite good in that regard, and while we do have to do a 2 week work placement and they are helping us find our own, there aren't any placements secured by the university for students.

Great university, great tutors, great students, great facilities to carry out the work. Fantastic small creative environment and very glad with my choice to attend the University.

Amazing facilities over the whole uni through both a studio for each year group in Graphic Design, multiple Mac suites, 3D workshops with wood/ceramics/metal, the print and printmaking workshop to allow for screenprinting/letterpress/monoprint, as well as digital print with facilities for paper and fabric printing of all sizes upto A0, then a vinyl cutter. All shops are reasonably priced as they are not run for profit.

academic feedback is good through module feedback, although getting work feedback before submission is good, this could be done more formally to mock the actual submission so students know what sort of grade they will be getting. personal support is good thanks to student welfare, big white wall etc.

Fantastic SU in a small uni where the course reps can (and have) made a real difference on a course and Uni level.

Yes, only a 10 minute walk from University, a local shop at the end of the road and great access to Hyde Park fields.

Good range of societies for a small University.

Like how there is plenty of contact time and tutors are always available (9am-4pm) and are happy to help, like how they have their own creative practices so you know you're getting taught by people who are actually involved in the industry rather than people who aren't experienced.

Fantastic Industry links in the course thanks to tutors who are practicing professionals as well as the Personal and Professional Practice module which gets students ready for the real world. As well as this the briefs are not just focused work for university only but a good mix of live and competition briefs too. Employability fortnight also good for getting skills in employability areas. Work placement is part of the course in the 3rd year which is great as well as briefs which require, and therefore improve, teamwork/presentation skills/etc. Other brief required contacting designers/studios to get their opinion on subjects which helped to network.
