Facility: The University of Sunderland offers excellent facilities, including state-of-the-art labs, well-equipped libraries and modern learning spaces. The sports facilities and technological access are top-notch, enhancing both academic and recreational activities. Location: The university is a bit far from city life, but it is well-connected by a metro station that runs directly from Newcastle to the city campus. Despite having two campuses, which can be a bit inconvenient, the university offers a free bus service to cover this distance. Student Support: The student support here is excellent. They offer a lot of services that are crucial for staying in university, including financial aid, wellbeing support, and help for international students. This support system is very comprehensive and helpful. Campus Look and Feel: The overall look of the campus is not particularly exciting; it feels more like an office building. However, both campuses have a consistent theme inside. While having two campuses can make it harder to feel unified, the St. Peter’s Campus has a very nice atmosphere and gives off a cozy vibe. Student Life: There are many activities and events happening on campus, including community spaces where students can gather and game nights that are great for international students like me. These activities make university life much easier and more enjoyable. Overall: I think the University of Sunderland is a very good place to study. It is affordable and convenient, with easy travel to Newcastle via the metro and all the essential resources provided by the university. The people here are also nicer compared to a famous city like London, which I find crowded and busy, and also a bit scary due to the higher crime rate. Here, you will get a friendlier and more easy-going vibe.

Facilities: I really like the facilities provided here at the University of Sunderland. There are a lot of resources and staff that my previous school/college didn’t have, including many technical tools that we can use throughout our course. While we sometimes have to share these resources due to the increasing number of students, it’s not usually an issue. Course content: I personally like the course because it gives us time to explore a lot of different things and teaches us the basics well. Teachers also give us a lot of freedom to do what we want and guide us in the process. At the same time, we have specific topics to focus on, which helps us see how we will be working in the real world and how we can get there. Course hours: We attend university around 2-3 days a week. They also try to make classes smaller for some modules by splitting them into 2-3 sections, allowing us to choose the one we are most comfortable with. I got around 4hr for classes which seem like a lot but it also including that time we spent on doing projects. Contact with Lecturers: We have group chats and tutors that we can contact anytime for feedback and advice. This communication is dedicated to university matters and not personal issues. Overall: The course is very good, especially for a challenging art course. They teach you everything you need to know for the field, from basic software skills to more advanced topics. The lecturers are great, always willing to help and provide feedback on your work.

There is so much on offer, the support you get is great. There’s always something in place to fit your needs. If you have something going on in your life that affects your studies, no problem the lecturers are at hand tailoring things for your needs and helping you to get through your course.

All of my course is taught in person although I feel a lot of it could be done online as I find I will attend my classes and do things that I could have done in the comfort of my own home.

No
