Portsmouth has a wide variety of resources available to students that they can access almost any time, even if not related to the course. It can sometimes be difficult to contact and collaborate with people from other courses.

The lecturers are supportive and open to questions when struggling. Time for assessment feedback to return can vary

The long corridor means that anyone can knock on your door at any time. Rooms are compact but cosy with space for everything.

everything is very close making it easier to travel and get to lectures/workshops. could be improved if more materials and supplies were provided rather than having to source so much of your own which can end up costing a lot

helpful information from lectures on how to do things and methods of illustration etc. not too many lectures and workshops within the week but this allows for time to continue with coursework and development. sometimes it feels as though there are is a slight lack of communication for what is wanted within the coursework which can make things feel a bit difficult

everything is very close so easy to get everywhere and if you need to go further you can take the uni bus which is super handy, some of the town isn’t the nicest but the beach and gunwharf definitely make up for it

one of the cheaper hall options which is nice however some areas of quality are clearly lacking for this reason, paint was left heavily chipped on the walls and bathroom floor and things such as the freezer draws were left damaged/cracked. although the quality isn’t as nice as other halls the room size is great, nice and spacious with a double bed and large desk + wardrobe so overall for student halls it’s acceptable and nothing too bad that is unbearable
