There's so much nightlife but not a lot if you don't drink or enjoy crowded bars, the student support and student services I haven't experienced.

The course so far is taught well by four separate tutors, but occasionally the tutor will just not answer your question even if you've asked it like four times. It would be nice to have more sessions so it's harder to fall behind, but I know they're busy people with three years to teach.

They test the fire alarm weekly, the alarms flash the whole room red as well as make noise, and the hallways are falling apart.

I love my course eand have been really enjoying it so far! Our main building (waverly) is one of my favourites on campus as I think it is so beautiful on the outside. The insides however feels like it is a little neglected compared to other buildings near by. The kitchen is small and old, ( and we have since been told it is technically staff only, even though the other buildings have student dedication kitchen spaces.) the water machine breaks often and it all just feels a little tired and neglected (compared to Dryden or Newton for example). I also feel that the technology facilities are not always great, we are often told things need to be used for them to stay but when trying to use them ( for example dragon fram in the animation room, the kiln for pottery etc.) They are either out of order or we are made to feel like we shouldn't be there using it unless it directly relates to a current project/ we have a workshop for it. The staff are all absolutely brilliant, they are all clearly so passionate about their subject and are always friendly and willing to help. Some go absolutely above and beyond and everyone has helped kindle my passion for illustration. The cafes and the area around the uni have a brilliant atmosphere and there is always something to do. The student union has so much to offer. The "give it a go" week and other events the union holds are always brilliant and you are never far away from some sort of event.

Being a fairly new course there has been a few bumps but that is expected! The tutors and course leaders all seem keen to continue to improve our course and trail new ways to see what works best, always keeping the students in mind. The transition from online tutorials and lectures to in person dramatically improved my experience on this course and I feel like many others would agree. The content of our course is fun and fast paced, always interesting and encourages experimentation. Our lecture are taught by someone who is enthusiastic and passionate, which in turn makes the lectures captivating. The topics we've been covering have been gripping and 3 dimensional, sparking debates and encouraging further research. Our tutors are caring and compassionate, they try and give us varied advice and remind us that often there isn't just one right answer, encouraging us to seek out second opinion from other tutors even is they contradict each other. This self awareness means that we are not disheartened when we hear constructive criticism and instead enjoy the challenge to potentially prove them wrong, and have the confidence to concede if they are right
