Lovely staff and lecturers. The facilities are also great, however I do wish there were bookable private room monitors for single and group work in the library.

Really good! Highly enjoy my course! However as I do study animation the placements and work opportunities are far lower than any other course. And as we are under computing and engineering I do get a lot of unnecessary emails about prospects unrelated to my course.

The campus is close to the city centre, but not so close that its overwhelming and the main campus is beautiful. Super convenient and right next to a couple of tescos. Furthermore, the people around are very welcoming and friendly. Where I once used to be anxious and shy, I now find myself far more confident in talking to people when I need help. All in all, I'm happy to have chosen DMU!

The course is very fun and super engaging, as the teachers are friendly and the lessons are great for widespread learning about the industry. Most of the facilities are great to use, though its a little annoying when you realise that you don't actually get a licence for their 2d animation software. Other than that though, the access is very good. The course often has meetings and lectures from industry professionals as well. Some of these professionals being permanent tutors or guest speakers from all over. For example, a Director and animator from Disney came to the university to talk about his work on animated shows, which allowed for insight in what to expect from our careers and ask our burning questions about animation in general. The creative freedom is refreshing and I have never been bored by this course! Big thanks to my tutors for being awesome!

Very nice and well looked after accommodation thats spacious and cheap. Not only is the interior really nice, but typically unsettling things, like sharing a bathroom, is actually pretty good in this accommodation. Their are cleaners who sort out the hallways, showers and toilets for us, which is particularly relieving. I only really have a problem with the washing machines, as there are only a few for such large halls and Furthermore, they provide a lot of cleaning supplies so we don't have to, consisting of a hoover, mop, iron, brush, dustpan and hand brush. Along with this they also supply a kettle and toaster, which is very useful. The rooms have plenty of storage space and the beds are big. There's still plenty of room for movement and the shelf space is rather large too. The only problem I really have with the storage space is the limited drawer space in the wardrobe. Other than that, it's perfect. Another minor issue is certain limitations. Having overnight guests is against the rules, which is a bit problematic if I have a friend over. Its a slight inconvenience but if their was more leniency with this rule, I would've thought this hall to be practically perfect. This hall is great, both for its appealing interior, cheap price and facilities/staff. I feel safe in this hall always.
