The university has a community feel due to being a campus uni. Every thing is easily accessible and within a 15 minute walk from the accommodation. Transport links to and from are amazing. The lecturers are experts in their fields which make the lectures very insightful and personal. It could be improved by a supermarket closer to the uni, as the co op on campus is quite expensive.

In person teaching. All lectures are recorded in case they have to be missed, which makes it easy to catch up. Research based teaching, making lectures insightful and personal to the lecturer. Easy to get advice from tutors and lecturers. Haven’t received career advice but only in first term so to be expected

Very expensive for what you get but in walking distance of all university facilities. Room is decently sized with en-suite. Kitchen facilities sometimes damaged but porter fixes the issues fairly quickly once reported

There seems to be genuine care and consideration taken for the welbeing and education of students here.

It's fantastic to be able to take a language with a humanity, something that is fairly unique to sussex. The number of contact hours is fairly low, although this is not uncommon for this kind of subject There could be more consolidating sessions like seminars and workshops.

The accommodation options at sussex in general price people out, and are not value for money in terms of amenities or access to people who can maintain them when things go wrong.
