So far it has been a roller coster ride, with no days that are not full of things to do. Pretty hetic, but plenty of opportunities to relax and chances to sit down.

The yoga and pilates society

It has spaces and events for everyone most days of the week. Walking into the lobby is different everyday with various stalls advertising opportunities, societies and events with people that are always friendly to speak with. At first it felt confusing and overwhelming but now I don’t hesitate to engage with stalls that stand out to me/interest me. As a study space, I can’t comment on. Although, I’ve seen people occupy the spaces for tables various amounts across this semester so I think it adheres to certain people’s preferences.

Booking contact hours is difficult - emailing is the only option (if it isn’t I’m not aware of how else to do it) and it can be worrying if there’s no response when you need to speak to someone urgently or about something upcoming.

There’s mould on the shower drain that I have reported that didn’t even see a response. Looking at second year accommodation, studios with far better facilities have been cheaper than what I’m paying now for a studio room.
