It is a very welcoming and interesting city.

The university is situated within the centre of everything, making it easy to pop to the library or other study facilities (and Ravelin sports centre) which helps gain motivation to study. The nightlife is good however is quite repetitive with there being little choice on where to, yet everything is so close. The views are amazing with the coast so close allowing students to be involved in related sports which aren't available everywhere. The university also holds non-essential lecturers which are there to support students such as academic essay writing and mental health support which are vital for first years and help to feel more at ease with the change to university.

My course has been fully in-class learning so far which, in my opinion, is the best form especially when all my lecturers have such a passion towards their topic which they are teaching. This means when learning from them it is so much more interesting to hear. My tutor sessions are generally once a week although they mainly focus on key skills for university as it is classed as one of my modules.

The room allocation for me was quite unequal in gender division with there being 6 boys out of 9, which is unusual. The location of all the halls of residents is great with it being a 10 minute walk to most of the facilities and buildings. Although Greetham street is one of the most expensive, compared to others such as Catherine halls who have a TV included, i struggle to see why ours is higher. But overall it is a nice place and the staff are always on hand to help whenever i have needed anything.
