The support services available are great, with a very helpful careers team and resources of all kinds very easy to access and navigate. The university also has plenty of study spaces to work and many useful facilities. Campus feel is very nice, with a gorgeous main campus and most buildings being fairly well maintained Location is quite good, being accessible from the university train station, the x21 bus and being within 5-20m walking distance depending on your accommodation (first year). Student life is great, I met a lot of good friends on my course and through social events - societies are hit or miss so try a good range. For improvements I would suggest cheaper food and stores on campus as well as a more proactive accommodation team for dealing with domestic issues in shared accommodation (we had issues with unclean flatmates all year and not much was done).

Teaching quality varies considerably depending on the lecturer (very engaging teaching vs just emotionlessly reading slides). Seminars feel very underwhelming, not many people contribute. Lecture content is typically quite interesting - depends greatly on your modules & accessing support is quite easy. Not much subject specific facilities that are worth noting but many of the general university facilities are very helpful.

Very close to campus , part of the Pritchett's village. Inconvenient to do grocery shopping from - easily 25+ mins away from the main Selly Oak shops with the nearest shops still being around 20mins away in Harborne (Selly Oak accommodations are right next to all the shops and the vale have their own convenience store). Safe to roam around at night & well lit but bikes would constantly get stolen / vandalised (think they are making a secure lockup to stop this). Room quality is average, functional but good value for money - the townhouses are far nicer but more expensive. the cleanliness of my shared accommodation was quite poor - despite numerous complaints to management - not much was done. Maintenance requests would be dealt with in a reasonable timeframe - occasionally I needed to remind them. Pritchett's is the only accommodation set / village still using circuit laundry - it is a HUGE rip off.
