Swansea is better than i could of ever thought, excellent staff, awesome night life, fantastic course with inspiring lecturers. Student union constantly have events on which means plenty of time to meet new people and never be bored.

I am having an amazing time at Swansea. I’ve met some amazing people and made life long friends. I’m managing to balance work, education and my social life. I’m happy here.

We have just had new PC labs fitted which use new technology and are very impressive. I love working with them. We have also built a brand new campus which has an extremely impressive engineering department

Every student has a personal tutor who they meet with throughout the year and can access at any other time through emails and office hours. Feedback is given electronically after at least 2 weeks and a hard copy of your marking is available afterwards for collection. Our welfare office is available to help students with disabilities, finance or if they are simply struggling and require some assistance. All members of staff are ready and willing to help a student in need

The SU are always providing fun activities and promoting societies and events. They are closely linked to our travel shop which offers fun experiences

We have a very famous street where all the local clubs and bars are located and many people come from surrounding cities for a night out. The street is pedestrianised and there are wardens patrolling all night so it is very safe. We also the closest university in the world to a beach. Loads of students go down in summer to barbecue and work in the sun and in winter there’s firework displays. There are plenty of shops, all offering student discounts including several large supermarkets

We have many many societies. Too many to choose from. I personally am a member of the Ulitmate Frisbee society and it is so much fun. I’ve made new friends and learnt a new sport. We also incorporate our beach and have many watersport societies. You may also start a new society of your own if you have enough people for it

There is a variety of mediums such as lectures, workshops, PC labs and laboratories. A wide variety means there is never a dull moment - it also means that we are working with new technologies and learning skills that are important when looking for a career

Swansea Employability Academy, careers fairs, proving work through university (for example, student ambassador). Many courses offer an optional Year in industry as we have many ties with businesses across the UK. Courses are offered by the welfare department to learn transferable skills and general life skills
