The lecturers have good links with professionals / institutions locally who can provide placements throughout the course and even employment after graduation, such as Leeds City Council. Even in first year employment opportunities and links with industry is on their radar, which is great for me as a mature student keen to reenter the workforce in Leeds once I have completed my Planning masters. So far all of my modules have felt extremely relevant, interesting and manageable, and all lecturers make themselves available to provide extra support if needed. In the classroom we are encouraged to have lots of conversation and share thoughts, which is good (when the rest of the class gets involved, which is often but not always) and we do lots of field trips around Leeds / the wider area which keeps things fresh and provides a nice change of pace. We share modules with people studying environmental science, physical geography and straight geography so the same topics are addressed from all these different angles, meaning everyone gets value and also a wider perspective.

Really happy with everything, I want to work in Planning when I graduate and feel I have all the teaching, facilities and links with industry to achieve that.

Interesting modules and wide range of elective modules in third year. Lots of trips to get to know the people on the course and lovely lecturers!
