The University of York is amazing in Research, there is a group dedicated to developing high quality research and focuses on training researchers the best possible way. Also, it is the first university I have attended that cares ENORMOUSLY about students wellbeing. There are social activities all the time, support from everyone (literally), workshops, events, so many amazing things. It is a great university with a welcoming environment, offering scholarships to people from all backgrounds, the main campus is 30min (walking) away from the city center, some buses to uni are only £1 for students. The only bad side of the UoY (which unfortunately is terrible) is the accommodation, they literally don’t care about students not having a place to live. However, that is the only negative aspect, everything else is beyond amazing :)

My overall experience so far has been really good. York is a great place to study and live in as there is lots to get involved in. It is a great city for shopping among many other things.

They are good but there needs to be more libtrary space and more sports pitches.

We have a good careers service.

I don't know much about the students union.

I love going out or going shopping.

I am a part of the UYWAFC (University of York Women's Football Team) which i love !

My course has good lecturers, interesting modules, good balance of exams and continuous assessment.

Hopefully not too hard as York is a prestigious uni (sort of)

The accommodation is expensive but nice.
