Tell us about your overall university experience so far.

The university experience so far is amazing , i would not change it for the world. Made amazing new friends, joined new clubs, experienced an amazing night and social life as well as learning more chemistry than i could have hoped for.

Job Prospects

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

Employability is built into our modules so that the process of it is familiar to us, seminars and lectures are frequent and we have access to people who can talk about placements, work opportunity and employability skills and factors.

Course and Lecturers

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

I love how in depth the course is, the support we have from our lecturers and lab technicians. I do not like the workload and the time frame we have to do certain aspects of the course.

Students' Union

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

The students union is very accessible, host a large variety of amazing events and is very inclusive.

Accommodation

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?

The accommodation is not the greatest but the people who help run the accommodation are very useful, and try to fix any issues wherever possible. Adequate rooms and kitchens.

Uni Facilities

How good are your university's facilities?

The university facilities are amazing, sports equipment,facilities and pitches are outstanding. The science labs are first class , restaurants and eating places are also very good.

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

The city life is very ice. The town centre has everything available when needed, with plenty of clubs and bars accessible for night time socializing.

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

They are very good. Large amounts of them are accessible to everything, be it a novice or an expert in the sport or societal focus. They are usually subscription based to pay for the equipment and use of facilities but these prices are very reasonable.

Student Support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

Both of these are very good. The teachers and lecturers are extremely useful, will spend time helping to dissect questions, opening up the lab and supervising when we have deadlines to meet. The counselling side of things is very good and accessible , no matter the angle of the problem or the gravity, they will help to find a solution.
