The facilities for my degree are absolutely impressive in terms of the different media and materials we can work with, and we get plenty of help from technicians in different departments. Also they provide us students with our own studios and they are very spacious, which sets this university apart from some of its competitors. Plus, the campus is very green and spacious. What could improve is the lack of non-sport society activity in this campus. It feels like all the social clubs are in central London and here people only come to study, which reflects in the decline in use of the bar and attendance to campus clubbing nights

The facilities are way better here than other universities I visited on open days, plus the tutors are very friendly and approachable which means the really went out of their way to make sure we were supported when first starting the course. As a course rep I have noticed a distinct lack of engagement from students in non compulsory events/talks/workshops/trips/etc and it results in the studios being quite lonely and facilities/services not being used to their max potential. This also seems to be a problem with the older years too, however I'm not sure lecturers can do a great deal about this.

In comparison to private London housing, the value is great for the facilities. The management team are great with keeping on top of reported broken amenities and always keep us informed of anything we need to know. The facilities work very well and seem to be in great condition. The heating system works great the the hot water is instant. Unfortunately, the internet is very unstable and unreliable at times but Glide technicians are always coming in to do maintenance. The kitchen spaces are quite spacious but paradoxically the amenities in them quite limited, having one hob and one fridge between six means we can't have more than two people cooking at a time and there is always friction over sharing a fridge shelf.

Lots of support, welcoming environment. Some facilities need more technicians.
