I believe the staff at the University of Nottingham is dedicated to the welfare of students. The facilities are maintained appropriately and the staff and professors are very eager to make sure that the students learn their way through the university courses. The coursework is also predicated on enhancing creativity and promoting free thought, which is crucial for proper educational development.

I love the courses, and I have yet to find faults in the coursework that I am provided.

I love that the libraries are 24 hours so I can study at any time and there are some great transport links. However i think they need to make available a lot areas other than the library to study because it does get full very quickly or sometimes you just want somewhere quieter.

I think most of the course is very well taught but there are some cracks. One particular module probability models and methods 2nd year for the 2nd semester last year the students were given a new lecturer and you could tell he was new as he wasn’t teaching in a way that we would understand and this was agreed upon by a lot of students to the stage where we all were unaware of content 2 weeks before the exam. This was reported and we were told the survey conducted told them otherwise. Upon watching the year befores lectures and the way that lecturer explained everything made a lot more sense to everyone. I think blended learning would’ve worked better if the library was open 24 hours during that period of time because there was a lot more work that needed to be done and a lot of students say they can’t work at home. i think a great aspect of the course is the piazza tool because people can ask questions anonymously and those questions also help a lot of other people not just the person that’s asked it. Also I think tutor contact hours after first year should be improved or maybe it was just me but for the whole of 2nd year I had no contact with my tutor up until i got my exam grade at the end of summer.
