It is noticeable that professors do enjoy teaching people and make the learning process creative and interesting for everybody. All of the university buildings on the campus are immaculate and comfortable to visit and study in. The whole city makes it seem as if it is supportive of you choosing this university. Although I did start the course later because of complications with visa, the staff and the community still welcomed me pretty warmly and quickly helped me adapt to the learning process. I would appreciate it if there were more ways to know about some upcoming events, as Instagram does not always send notifications and UniBuddy is not used as actively as it could be.

As I study in-class, I have lectures, seminars and workshops where we learn how to use the film and sound equipment. All of the course lessons are scheduled appropriately and are not overbearing in hours. Sometimes there are even free days, and most of the time I have free evenings where I can either meet up with other students in my group to talk about an upcoming project or do something else. I also can easily contact my lecturers via email and I already had an opportunity to meet my personal academic tutor, who was very outgoing and helpful. He also had proposed to arrange a catch up meeting so I could have some 1-1 time with him and learn what I had missed in my Film Production course because I started the course later than everybody else.

The process of room allocation went smooth and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I also really like how close my accommodation is to the university buildings where my lectures are held. It does feel safe because of the keycard system and the rooms are quite spacious. There is some equipment in the allocated kitchens which we can use amongst each other, like vacuum cleaners, toasters and microwaves with fridges. I also like the fact that I can't really hear people from other rooms on my floor, with some exceptions from rooms upstairs. As for the downsides, Harry Law Hall does not look as good compared to other accommodations. It was more likely my fault because I applied late and had other factors to consider before signing the contract (for ex. that I am still a minor). The small amount of light, uncomfortable mattresses, occasional drain blockage and overall aesthetics of a room makes it look old and not as of good quality. The laundrette room is a bit too overpriced for my liking as well. But all in all, it is an alright place to live in for a year or a few.
