The best aspects are the practical elements of each module. Being a film student I expected things to be very hands on and lecturers to be experienced in the industry and provide opportunities to students to get some work experience. The worst experiences have been due to the area. There are some t shady characters around the area at night. Due to the nature of the courses I’ve done here I need to stay late at night. My friend and I were attached by some members of yeh public and the security team wasn’t nearby. It would be better if there were more security patrolling campus.

Contact time with lecturers is great. They are almost always available to speak to for advice and feedback. They have supported me through my course and helped my career plan due to their industry experience. The worst part is the promise of lots of practical work. There is a substantial amount however there is more theoretical work than practical. There needs to be more practical modules or modules with more practical work on or, at the very least, more relevant theoretical modules.

There are a lot of nearby pubs, night clubs, restaurants etc. The transport to and from other cities is good usually only one bus or train ride.
