Having just finished my first semester of my first year with the university, I have found them to be incredibly helpful and enjoy the fact that they push you to the full extent of your ability. I absolutely love the enthusiasm of the students and lecturers who go here, and feel that throughout the three years of my course, I will only grow in confidence in my chosen subject thanks to these factors.

One of the main reasons I decided to choose Birmingham City University for my course was due to their extensive facilities, and new studios. With other universities I visited I found their filming spaces to be quite small, some didn't even have access to modern software which is necessary for my industry. This university however meant that I could access software whenever I needed it, making it top of my choices.

As I work with the university I know that their student support is great, with in school mentors and access to OpportUNIty to help you fit a job around your busy university schedule.

The Student Union organises a lot of activities and trips for those attending the university to go to. During my welcome week, there was plenty of activities available for those who drink and those who do not, meaning you could still have fun without the backlash in the morning. As someone who attends from home, this was nice for me to get to know others without living in accommodation.

So far, every lecture I have had on my course has been taught with the lecturer being enthusiastic and showing their absolute love of their subject. Anything I have been unable to understand, I have felt it easy to approach and ask lecturers about, which is a nice thing to have with those who will be teaching you throughout your course.

The great thing about my course, is that the university often brings in those employed in my sector for talks and networking sessions. They make you aware of upcoming opportunities for work at your level, visits from industry professionals, and graduate jobs/internships.

It has great equipment especially for my course. More organisation from the administration would be beneficial. More opportunities to help build my career ahead of graduation especially for my course would be beneficial. Great experience with high-end equipment which helps build my portfolio

The content is very informative and inspiring. Would benefit from more organisation as well as more career opportunities such as placements and internships. Good balance on online and in class learning.

Its in the heart of the city so its easy to get around. Nice gym that comes with living in the accommodation. A bit expensive though especially the washing
