The best experience I have in the university is the friendly nature of the professor. My professor specifically Dr Martin Hall he is more like a brother to me more than a professor he had support and help me in every aspect of my studies and student life. The worst experience that I remember is I feel like a outsider in the first month of my university life and hard to fit myself socially with others.

My course is bachelor in film studies BA(hons). Mostly I attend in-class learning and talking about course hours I am in bachelor and my classes used to be 3 days a week and mostly 3 to 5 hr a day. The lecturers are so friendly and connected most of the time. They replies mails and quires as soon as possible, as a student I am satisfy with my course lecturers.

Grate place for international students, people are friendly and polite, university is so welcoming as well. As a student I am satisfied with my university, the location and other aspects of this place.

The library is wonderful and the staff are very friendly, the quiet spaces on both floors have been incredible impact on my ability to complete and submit my assignments. The student union is wonderful and I appreciate the friendly staff and the bar and cafe make it a welcoming place to hang out with friends, I’m also happy with my recent purchase of my York St John’s hoodie too.

I enjoy my course a lot and I find my tutors to be approachable and friendly, noodle is easy to access and I have ready access available to the resources I need to do my work.

My only issue at studying at YSJ comes from Uni Accommodation. To give credit where credit is due, I’ve settled in well in the halls as this is my first time living away from my parents. The Location is convenient to a number of supermarkets and a community coffee shop a few feet away. Washing and Iaundry is very convenient and cheap. I still believe there’s room for large improvement with the facilities; I can’t blame the accommodation team for the behaviour of others but there have been times where the behaviour of students living there have been inconsiderate and disruptive to others, there was a particular incident where students had barged past me into my flat after waking me and my flat mates up at half 12 in the morning, after I had told them to leave and not much was done. If anything has been done with or said to these individuals then it has not worked. The lifts are unreliable and on a consistent basis break down. Which is very inconvenient when disposing of rubbish as I’m carrying multiple heavy bags. Please send someone to properly fix the lifts. Thank you for reading my review! :)
