Facilities
How good are your university's facilities?
They have everything that you'd need and more. A gym, library, cafe, shop, canteen, post service and much more.
Student support
How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).
A vast amount of support in all areas. Whether you want to find out what level you're working at in an essay, or whether you have a personal problem you wish to attend to. There is everything there.
Students' union
What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?
They put on regular events, the venue is excellent, and everything is very reasonable.
Local life
Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?
While it's not huge, Falmouth is a great place to go if anything because it's so unique. There may not be countless pubs and clubs, but what it lacks in that it makes up for in shops and independent businesses. Not to mention that the pubs that they do have are all excellent, and well thought out. We have the biggest Video Gaming bar in Europe and a wonderful bookshop/pub in Beerwolf.
Societies and Sports
How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?
Fairly small amount to choose from, however what it lacks in quantity it makes up for in quality, with regular meet ups, and well run events that you can attend. On top of that, it also has a Society team that regularly looks over the quality of these Societies, getting feedback on students, and striving for them to be successful.
Lecturers and teaching quality
What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?
The lecturers are brilliant. Understanding, and they put everything into perspective. You can talk to them about anything you want to.
Career prospects
How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?
Fantastic opportunities in the field, they help people who want to push their way into their industry of choice achieve that by providing us with countless opportunities such as the Berlin Film festival, work experience with major companies in the industry and many guest lectures on top of that.
University halls
What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
While not perfect, the buildings are beautiful, they're within 5 minutes walk of the main campus and the support from the accommodation team is brilliant.
