I study first year Film Studies BA (Hons) and I thoroughly enjoy my course, from the varied and exciting content, to the challenging and interesting assessments. The opportunities arising from studying this course keep me motivated and inspired, and I have made a good group of friends. The course lecturers are friendly and full of wisdom, and are more than happy to help outside of scheduled lecture hours. The student union is supportive and provide a vast range of social and seasonal activities and events. The range of societies is good and there is definitely something for everyone. The campus is very modern and is kept neat, which makes for a positive experience navigating through it. Campus is very close to the city centre and also the coach and train station, so commuting is easily accessible and I don't lack a social life. I would love for there to be more student involvement in the course structures due to the new block module teaching format (starting in the 2022-2023 academic year) is intense and sometimes overwhelming, but staff try to communicate with students and make it easier for them to process the different modules despite each one being taught in a 7-week time frame.

There is a good balance of in-class and online content, wherein the content being taught in class is accessible online and the online content e.g. readings and assessment is regularly and consistently addressed and referred to in classes. Contact with lecturers is good, and I feel as though we as students get an appropriate amount of contact for each different module.
