Tell us about your overall university experience so far.

I love it! The best university I could ever go to. If there’s a room for improvement, everyone is trying really hard to meet everybody’s expectations. Societies are just perfect. City life amazing.

Job Prospects

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

Yes (everything from above), we get many emails with paid internship offers and university holds regular Jobs Fairs.

Course and Lecturers

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

I am studying what I love and my lecturers are passionate about their subjects. We need put more theory into practice.

Students' Union

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

I’m involved in Student Union; I’m the Course Rep and I am the committee of Course Rep Council at the position of Course Rep Promotion Officer. I do get involved a lot in a Student Council as well.

Uni Facilities

How good are your university's facilities?

Very good if we’re talking about the film equipment and any theatre related equipment.

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

There’s a lot of pubs, restaurants, take aways, student parties, many shops offer student discounts which is great. Cheap stores are always just around the corner.

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

The biggest advantage is that they’re free, you can join as many as you like. I met a lot of my friends during my Film Society sessions and I’ve gained a lot of practical experience in my field of study.

Student Support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

Very good, but as I’m in the Student Council we’re trying to make the experience excellent.
